Hi peeps
Straight to the point...
Should your posts in the New Members Section Count
or do you feel that saying hello to a new member is just that
and does not really need to go towards your post count?
Please give a reason as well so that we can understand your answer?

If your going to use a post count system for grading members etc, then all posts should count. However, you can end up with a situation were you will get someone with say 5,000 post counts and at the same time they have never been proactive. I.e. 5000 posts that are mere comments and not a help to anyone at all.
I do realise we need people to post to keep the forum active and interesting, but I think member status should be graded on the amount of help that they have offered others, & or useful uploads to benifit others.
I.e. I remember your ftp Bashy very helpful it was indeed. Not saying you need loads of ftp's etc but it was an answer to a requirement of lots of users at the time.

and that ftp is still available only slightly different :)
End of the Day two post aint that much and it incourages peeps to look through the forums looking for something to post too. which is a good thing if theres a problem they have wich has already been answered. saves u guys repeating urselfs....
im still trying to figure out how to creat a post lol... :redface0:

totaly agree and it is especialy good for the people who are comming to this forum for the first time when they google for smthg and when they finaly find a solution here than they should be able to take advantage of it at that particular moment. if they are satisfied they will be happy and stay here for a long time anyway and if not then they will leave no matter what
