has any one ever done a online money transfer? ive got a guy interested in my satnav but he wants to wait till friday (paypay) to do a online money transfer what does this involve? what does he need from me? :confused:

DONT ACCEPT IT M8.........

he will need from you your roll number of your bank account or bank account number and sort code. if ya dont know him dont give him it. he may and probably is a genuine guy but it gives him direct access to your account. this info is what you give to companies to set up direct debits over the phone he could set one up for himself. if you got paypal account tell him to send payment to that instead. if ya dont want to incur fees then tell him to send cheque and dont send goods until the cheque is cleared. best of all is cash on collection.

if he genuinely wants the goods he will agree.


but never give bank account details to joe bloggs it aint worth th risk.

ive done trades with the guy before and all has been fine it's just ive never done one of these transfers before

if you know him and trust him well thats up to you. if you have dealt with him before then why not stick to previous arrangements it is safer for you and your money. like i said if he truly wants goods then he will agree to different payment method.

but if you go ahead with transfer and all goes bad dont say i didnt warn you
