Here is a bootloader for the A256 modems that will allow you to then upload haxorware onto the modem without the need of replacing the SPI chip for one of the spansion ones. You can keep the original MX chip .
This bootloader comes of a 5101u modem thanx to usbbdm for this bootloader.
How you get the bootloader on is your problem.
