Hi peeps
We have a small problem and i need some help
I have had an email of our hosting company and there not pleased.
They have stated that we are not allowed to host any files that are
available for download whether they are copyright protected or NOT.
Untill we move the Download Center will be closed
But dont forget there is my FTP (link in the Library)
I have spoken to them with regards to this and said that we are a community
based forum and that we have aatchaments for the members
only and not for guests. I have told them that i am not happy and have
asked them for time to move the files from the server, I am now waiting
for them to get back to me.
We have 3 options.
Close the forum
Delete all files/attachments
Move to a new host
With this in mind i propose we move to a new Hosting Company and this is
where i need your help as this is going to cost money.
The donations recieved up to now have gonetowards upgrades and addons
such as the Petz, Arcade files and other scripts to improve the quality of
the forum.
I have found 2 new Hosts upto now and i am still looking.
The 1 i am interested in will cost :
6 MONTHS
Semi-annual fee for Power Plus Plan (3/23/06 - 9/23/06) $106.03
1 Year
Annual fee for Power Plus Plan (3/23/06 - 3/23/07) $199.58
2 YEARS
Bi-annual fee for Power Plus Plan (3/23/06 - 3/23/08) $349.27
I suppose the better option would be the 2 YEARS but we will have to see
what you guys can donate together with the £22 thats left in the account
Please try and donate what ever you can peeps, every little helps and
sooner the better as i dont and i am sure you dont want the forum to go
down untill we can afford to purchase this?
I dont like to ask but i feel i dont have much of a choice at the minute
as this was dropped on me yesterday. I have included the emails below
for you to have a read. I am still awaiting a reply with regards to any other
service that they have on offer, but i have a feeling that this will not be of
any use to use as it will still have the files restrictions, we will just have to
see
Again i am sorry i have had to drop this on you peeps, Thank you for your

Thanks for the note. Unfortunately we don't have another service that can assist with this. Other plans we resell from other providers have the same stipulation about downloads.

Heart are asking for an update so I will advise that the movie files have been removed. For the site to remain on our server whilst you transfer it, you will have to suspend the download area. The other option whilst you move it is to disable it with a holding message whilst you download the content and transfer to another provider.

Hi Bashy
Thanks for the note.
We are resellers for Heart Internet and other suppliers and your account was signed up under our terms and conditions which for this account are the same as for Heart Internet.
The amount of bandwidth used to date is irrelevant. We are advising you have files available for download - simply by registering for access to your site which is available for anyone to do. These files will impact on server performance for you and our other clients if it is left unchecked.
If the files are in public domain then linking to the site where they may be obtained would bypass the download issue and be more likely to provide the end user with the latest edition of the file.
In summary, to be able to continue using the hosting you will need to relocate the download files. I can negotiate with Heart Internet over the timeframe they will provide for this to occur.
Best wishes,
Peter

Hi Bashy
The site bashys-place.com has a download section with lots of files available to download and a lot of MP3 files stored which would be against copyright. Both situations are against our terms and conditions and I've been requested to ask that you remove them.
Can you please do this as soon as possible.
Thank you.
Best wishes,
Peter
