There are many people who wander is it possible to unlock BB5 phones.
Nokia 3250, Nokia 6125, Nokia 6131, Nokia 5500, Nokia 6126, Nokia 6136, Nokia 6233, Nokia 6234, Nokia 6270, Nokia 6280, Nokia 6630, Nokia 6680,
Nokia 6681, Nokia 6682, Nokia 7370, Nokia E50, Nokia E60, Nokia E61,
Nokia E62, Nokia E70, Nokia N71, Nokia N72, Nokia N73, Nokia N80,
Nokia N90, Nokia N91, Nokia N92, Nokia N93.
The answer is YES!!!
But the only way to unlock them at the moment is to pay £20 to the network provider such as Orange, O2, Vodafone.
The only two conditions are:
1.The phone is not Lost or Stolen and has not been blocked by IMEI
2.You have to buy New sim (if the original sim is not registered to you)
So here is the full procedure as I have done and it worked 100%
My Phone, Nokia 6233, which I have bought of eBay (second hand), was locked to Orange.
The original sim card was not registered to me so I had to get brand new Orange sim card and register it on my name. After the registration was finished I phoned Orange CS and asked them to unlock my phone so I can use it on other network (make sure you say that you want to use it on other network otherwise they will start giving you all sort of codes such as PUK codes et cetera).
So after a nice talk and giving CS your IMEI number they will ask you to pay £20 by topping your phone up.
This is the important bit.
DO NOT TOP-UP BEFORE PHONIHG THEM you just might get lucky as I did. CS lady said that I have to top my phone up by £20 and they will take the payment off my account tomorrow and I will get my unlock code within 2 weeks time. So I have put my phone on the shelf and started to wait for unlock code to come a week later the magic letter came.
I got the phone of the shelf and decided to check the balance £20 was still there!!!
Unlock code worked as well so I was over the moon!
