It's all about the Dad...
08 February 2006 - As the tiny patter of
feet is soon to take over Pocket-lint Towers,
we are adding a new tab for fathers. The new
section will cover all that is male about
child rearing and feature news, reviews, tricks
and tips.
Welcome to The Dad Blog
As expectant parents Ben and Stuart trawled
the Internet for information, in search of
enlightenment, only to find a total lack of
anything relevant to men.
If they'd wanted to know about blooming health
in the second trimester, or that nipple rash
could be eased with auspicious use of cabbage
leaves then they would have been well served.
But they didn't. They wanted to know which
pushchairs would engender buggie envy, what the
range of various baby listeners were (for pub
visiting purposes) and whether the purchase of
a games console could be justified for its
"educational" benefits.
As a result, Dad is here. Written in blog form,
it aims to address not only the challenges of
child rearing from a male persepctive, but to cover
news and reviews of the baby gadgetry that boys can
really get excited about.
Over the coming months we'll be reviewing the very
best in buggies, toys, car seats, baby listeners and
anything else that is gadgety enough to interest us.
If it's mechanical, holds batteries, can be installed
in a car, is a toy or requires manual labour to
construct then it's in.
